The Government Arts and Science College is situated in Vadalur, Cuddalore District, Tamil Nadu, established in the year 23.06.2022 by the Government of Tamil Nadu. It is affiliated with Annamalai University and constantly strives to achieve its cherished motto, "Love and Knowledge." Since then, the College, with a salubrious campus spread across 5.50 acres, has enormously been catering to the needs of young learners who represent economically weak peasants and underprivileged agricultural families of the Vadalur region, thereby fulfilling their aspirations for higher education.
The College currently offers five Undergraduate (UG) programmes — Tamil Literature, English Literature, Commerce, Chemistry, and Computer Science. What began as a humble institution with just 720 students across its diverse programmes. The institution is duly recognized and approved by its affiliating body, Annamalai University, Chidambaram, Tamil Nadu, as well as by the Government of Tamil Nadu, and continues to cater to the higher educational hopes and ambitions of predominantly rural students from the surrounding region.
